Selling your home shouldn’t be a stressful ordeal.
I’ve developed this page to help you begin the process and to give you an example of what to expect from your REALTOR.
First Step In The Process:
- Choose a qualified Real Estate Agent.
- Find a Realtor with experience and knowledge of the market.
- Find a Realtor who has an Internet presence.
- Find a Realtor who believes in Continuing Education and has earned at least one designation.
Second Step:
- Ask the Agent to prepare a Comparative Market Analysis (CMA) of your home.
- Ask the Agent to inform you of their plans to market your home.
- The Agent should include Internet marketing and direct marketing in their plans.
- The Agent should be willing to give your home maximum exposure and to present your home to as many qualified buyers as possible.
Third Step:
- Ask the Agent for tips on staging your home and generating curb appeal.
- Ask the Agent if they will assist you in obtaining offers.
- Ask the Agent if they will assist you in the negotiation process.
- Ask the Agent if they will assist you in finding a new home for you and your family.
The right REALTOR will help you to list your home at today’s fair market value. They will also help you obtain a qualified buyer and help you negotiate an agreeable offer. The right Agent will work for you! They will keep you informed of ALL offers. They will market your property effectively. They will keep you informed of neighboring homes on the market and those that are pending or just sold. They will keep you informed of showing feedback from potential buyers, as well as from other Agents who may show your home. By keeping in continual contact, you will be able to make informed decisions on the list price of your home, as well as get an idea of how long you should anticipate your home being on the market.
I hope you found the above information to be useful.
